Thank Your for your honesty and for BEING there. I, for one, am indeed Grateful. We live in Gulfport, MS and this is sooo overwhelming for us ALL. Now they actually are dumping the "tarballs' in our landfill. The DEQ says they are harmless. Please...The people are fighting back and saying NO WAY. Peace, Becky Dennis
John, I just wanted to say thank God for people like you. This is the only way we in other parts of the country know what is REALLY going on. My family and I here in Indiana have been horrified by the use of Corexit since the day they started using it. The lessons of Viet Nam apparently are lost on our leaders. We are very aware here in the Midwest about the possible dangers to crops, insects, grass, tress, water supplies, wildlife, and of course ourselves from the toxins being pumped into the sea, the water cycle, and the atmosphere. We are looking for signs here of toxic rain and we are fully expecting it to come this far north, if not further. We are all with you. Many, many people do understand the gravity of this disaster and have a full understanding that this is not a 'southern problem' or 'problem in the Gulf'. We are all furious, can hardly sleep at night. We are seeing grass dying here, although it has been hot. You would think the grass would get greener after it rains, but it seems the opposite...the leaves of plants in the garden shriveling, etc. Is is toxic rain? I feel we may never be given the answers we seek. Instead we will live and suffer with the Knowing. God Bless You and Good Luck in all you do. Suzanne Weiss, LP, Indiana
Thanks for blog, i keep checking every day for news on this disaster, since the media stopped reporting about it- at least here in germany. All we hear about is how bad the financial losses for BP are going to be.. what a joke. Its insane whats going on there, i wonder why they don't work with people from all over the world, so many countries and people offered their willing to help but they seem to refuse. Media is not allowed because obviously they don't want the people to panic over or hide something really big going on out there.. hope they will fix the leak soon.
Thank you so much John. 200 miles inland in North Carolina here. I check your blog everyday and have passed it on to everyone I can reach. I heard it rained oil in South Carolina last week. And God knows what else. I fear this has the potential to become the nightmares I had 30 years ago of a world with no vegetation, no animals, no water, no food supply. CorEXIT. I read the comment left from Indiana and realize my fears are shared. My understanding was that corexit was outlawed in the UK.? I can't help but believe they could stop this leak completely already. But only at the expense of losing their reservoir. When they fix this, and I pray they can, will we ever recover? I have to believe we can, and that this is the wake-up call. STOP THE CHEMICALS! My heart cries for the marine life, and everyone in the Gulf. No matter what they try to hide, people are watching. Thank you for the truth. Deeply grateful.
Hi John. I'm French, and the media here and in Europe don't speak about this issue. That's why I also thank you very much. I don't know what I'm most scared of : your government's criminal decisions, or the rising health's threat due to the leak. And this is a short list. Today I read that BP was attempting a new operation. I really hope it will work... Thank you, really.
My Children and Grandchildren live in the Golf waves, I can only hope that we as 'a' people scream and make our voices be heard, this is NOT right to let BP be in control of their own catastrophe, they caused this leak and then they add insult by adding fire and then more insult and death by dispersant's and our Government is allowing it???? We need to step up and stop this nonsense, what are we as citizens suppose to do to help you John????
