Oil Containment Fencing
This fencing system was being installed on the north tideline of the West End on Sunday May 2 and Monday May 3.

This fencing system starts out as collapsible "boxes"
which are made of wire mesh with plastic liners.

Once erected, the boxes are filled with "CI" which are styrofoam-like pellets that absorb the oil and solidifies it, making it easier to pick up and remove.

This fencing and oil capture system will be deployed along 3 miles
of the West End north shore.
